There has been a marked increase in the tendency
to remain away from the polls on the part of those entitled to
vote. . . . Election Day in the olden times was generally considered
more or less sacred--one to be devoted to the discharge of the
obligations of citizenship.
--Calvin Coolidge, U.S. President
Politics are a part of a religion in such a country as this,
and Christians must do their duty to their country as a part of their
duty to God. . . . God will bless or curse this nation according
to the course Christians take in politics.
--Charles Finney, Evangelist

Pray the VoteTM, a new initiative from The Presidential Prayer
Team, you have the opportunity to exercise some of your highest
rights and privileges as a citizen of the United States of America—the
right to religious freedom and the privilege to vote for those whom
you want to govern you in the future. Here are some ways you
can get involved:
- Decide now that you will commit to pray daily for the upcoming elections. Register your intent and download your “I’m Praying the Vote” certificate.
- Hold a Prayer Party. Could
there be a better way to exercise your religious freedom—the
very freedom that generations of brave Americans have fought to
preserve?
The concept of the Prayer Party is simple. Invite your family and friends—a few or a few dozen—to your home to celebrate Independence Day. Using our downloadable guide, spend some meaningful time in prayer. We suggest 30-60 minutes. The time will go very quickly! Then continue your celebration with refreshments, music and more!
We’d like to know about your party, so we can encourage others by your participation.
Register your intent to host a Pray the VoteTM Prayer Party. - Decide to participate in the Pray the VoteTM
Virtual Prayer Rallies,
strategically set for November 1, Election Eve.
The concept is to register to pray, either during personal prayer time or with a group, on a specific date at specific times. We've provided prayer resources, along with ways to invite others.
Please click here to let us know you intend to participate. - Tell someone else about Pray the VoteTM. When you help spread the word, you encourage others to exercise their freedoms as well. Send an email about Pray the VoteTM to a friend.
